Newark, NJ— Saint Michael’s Medical Center (SMMC) will host its annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 2, 2014, at the Cedar Hill Golf and Country Club located at 100 Walnut Street, Livingston, NJ.

Golfers can register as individuals or foursomes and should arrive between 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. and a chance to win a “Hole-in-One” Cadillac. After golf, guests are invited to enjoy a cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner, as well as a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Last year’s event garnered over 100 golfers and guests, raising $61,000 for programs and services at Saint Michael’s Medical Center. Proceeds from this year’s event will specifically support the Connie Dwyer Breast Center at SMMC.

“We are thrilled that the funds raised will go to the Breast Center,” said Connie Dwyer, founder of the Connie Dwyer Breast Center. “This will enable us to continue creating public awareness and promote the importance of regularly scheduled mammograms to our surrounding communities, while providing us with additional resources to enhance our services.”

The comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility provides expert diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, breast cancer prevention, early detection, and educational outreach programs in northern New Jersey. With a mission to provide advanced breast care, the Center reaches out to more than 1,500 women annually through a series of free educational sessions and breast cancer screenings at the hospital and in the community, with outreach performed at churches, schools, community centers, and other local organizations.
