Healthy Options Available for Newark’s Central Ward Community
Saint Michael's Medical Center and SWAG Project Partner to Offer Weekly
Newark, N.J.– Saint Michael’s Medical Center (SMMC) and the SWAG Project have partnered
to offer a weekly community farmers market. The market, located in the
parking lot of SMMC at 111 Central Ave, Newark, NJ 07102, will take place
every Friday, July through September, except for July 3 and September 4.
Each week a variety of fresh and locally grown fruits and vegetables will
be available for purchase. In addition to the sale, SMMC will offer a
health and wellness screening, information, or a cooking demonstration.
