Newark, NJ—According to the American Diabetes Association, nearly 30 million Americans
are living with diabetes and 86 million have prediabetes and are at risk
for developing diabetes. In recognition of American Diabetes Month, November,
Saint Michael's Medical Center will host a special diabetes event
on Friday, November 13, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Saint Michael's
Medical Center located at 111 Central Avenue, Newark, NJ.
The event will include diabetes and hypertension screenings (blood glucose
and blood pressure), foot screenings, educational information and a healthy
holiday cooking demonstration at 12:30 p.m.
There is no cost to attend this event and walk-ins are welcome.
