Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Facility

The Outpatient Substance Abuse treatment Facility at Saint Michael’s Medical Center is one of only a small number of outpatient facilities in and around Newark that can treat co-occurring and substance abuse disorders.

Our team represents a variety of disciplines that interact and coordinate efforts to diagnose, treat and plan the approach to the treatment of additions.

Programs Available within the facility include:

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

(This service is designed for both men and women with substance abuse disorders and co-occurring disorders, this occurs for at least 9 hours or more per week.)

  • 9 hours or more per week

Outpatient Therapeutic Program (OP)

  • up to 6 hours per week

Outpatient Theraputic Services

  • Gender Specific Group Therapy
  • Individual Counseling
  • Psychoeducation Sessions
  • Didactic Lectures
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Anger Management
  • Parenting Skills
  • Referrals to Community Resources

Psychiatric Evaluations

Psychiatric consultations are available on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of each participant.

Walk In Intake hours are Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
